Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Identify
areas for process improvement and work simplification with the use of
improvement strategies (LEAN, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, and Business
Process Re-engineering, etc.).
- Collaborate with process owners to solve process challenges through analysis of performance metrics and advanced optimization techniques and software.
- Design systems and procedures to assist clinical personnel in operating more efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor and enforce the implementation of process improvement initiatives.
- Develop reports and conduct data analyses to support quality and performance improvement functions, using basic to advanced skills in data mining and spreadsheet formulation.
- Schedule patient arrangements for clinical staff and volunteers and ensure that assignments are provided in accordance with the plan of care.
- Maintain volunteer reporting and record keeping, ensuring compliance and quality integrity.
- Collect, maintain and report statistical data related to volunteer services.
- Develop and implement programs to recruit and retain volunteers.
- Manage inventory of medical and office supplies and equipment.
- Assist with data entry for all patient records including referrals, start of care, follow-up, transfer and discharge, and patient visits.
- Secure the necessary physician signatures and clinical staff signature for the clinical documentation.
- Compiling and completing reporting requirements.
- Develop new programs to improve the agency’s overall efficiency and effectiveness.
